How the team is flown
Five units, one aircraft
Nobody builds a whole aircraft. Everybody flies one — every unit below has a signature on the flight-readiness sheet.
- AFS
Airframe & Structures
Wing and fuselage design, composite layup, moulds, and the load tests that decide whether a part flies or goes back on the bench.
- AVX
Avionics & Power
Flight computers, power distribution, wiring looms and telemetry links. Everything between the battery and the control surface.
- AUT
Autonomy & Vision
Guidance and control laws, onboard perception, and the formation logic that lets two aircraft hold station without a human on either stick.
- GCS
Ground Systems
Ground control software, mission planning, live telemetry displays, and the flight-data pipeline every debrief is argued over.
- OPS
Operations & Outreach
Flight-line procedure, safety cases, competition logistics, sponsorship and the school workshops we run each spring.
